Hi, welcome to Tye Dye Acres. I raise fainting (myotonic) goats. I have fainters that are registered with the MGR and  with the IFGA and MSFGA. I breed for blue eyes, polled, silky, cashmere and short coats, and focus on breeding for unusual colors.

Please check out my sales page if you are looking to buy and goat care pages if you are looking for information on raising/caring for these wonderful critters.
I also offer stud service and hoof trimming, llama & alpaca shearing, nails trimmed, vaccinating & deworming, etc. Click on the Services Offered page for more info and prices.

Kidding season is over and all kids have found their new homes. I retained seven doelings and a buckling from this year.  Breeding season starts late October with the first kids arriving late March 2011. Once the breeding starts I will have a page with who is bred to who and due when so if interested in a breeding you know when to expect kids. Thank you to all who have purchesed from me this year and as always, if you have any questions feel free to email me! I will be testing all goats two years and older in October for Johnes, CL, and CAE as I do yearly before breeding. Last two year's tests have all been negative and I am happy to show the results to any who asks.

                                                                                          My herd:

I have been raising animals for quite a while now, and started out with just two pygmy goats. Well now you can see how addicting these critters are.  I've always loved goats and when I saw an ad in the paper for two free pygmy goats I jump in and got Snow and her brother Frost. I got more and more into the fainting goats, buying a tri-colored buckling and breeding him to my pygmy does and fainter does. The pygmy crosses I sold for pets and decided I liked the fainters more due to their relaxed nature and it was a bonus they didn't jump fences or always looked for a way out so I sold my pygmy does back in 2004.

Bloodlines in my herd include Brassring, 7F Acres, Beechkeld, TPF, Little Big Man, Riverwood Farm, Lazy Daze Farm, 7F Ranch, Sunset Ridge, Hillcrest, Billy Goat Bluff, Choo Choo Acres, Butternut Acres, GVF, Crooked Creek, Spring Water Creek, Del-Ru Goat Ranch, Ehlinger Acres, Prairie Patch Farm & more.

My experinces working on farms enables me to give all my own shots, deworm and trim hooves.

I raise hardy, healthy, easy going animals with attention to color, conformation, and temperment. My goats are my "kids" and get the best treatment!

All of my goats are vaccinated twice a year (CD/T in the spring, Lepto-5 before breeding season), dewormed as needed, and hooves trimmed as needed. They are very good looking animals, with no conformation problems and can be shown in 4-H or county fairs and Myotonic shows. I do have a few does with teat scurs but any kids with them will be marked as such and any bucklings with an extra teat go as wethers only. Does with extra teats get a point off, bucks are disquilified in MGR shows so I don't sell any extra teated bucklings as bucks.

Thanks for stopping by, and if you have any questions, feel free to email me.

I have been raising goats since 1999, and fainting goats since 2004. I'm always happy to answer questions and you can email me at TyeDyeAcres@aol.com

Thanks for looking!
